How To Keep Your Teeth Clean And Healthy

Aug. 01, 2020

Our teeth play such an important role in our lives – good oral hygiene can prevent bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease. It can even help you fend off medical disorders.

In this post, I’m going to be sharing a few tips on how to keep your teeth clean:

Invest in a good toothpaste – All you need to brush your teeth is a pea-sized amount of good fluoride toothpaste. Although some people may have their concerns about fluoride, there’s no scientific evidence to suggest that it is bad for you. To keep my teeth clean and healthy, I’ve been using Colgate’s Total Advanced Deep Clean Toothpaste. Unfortunately, dentists are still under lockdown so taking extra special care of my teeth is essential. This toothpaste left my teeth looking like they’d been cleaned professionally. Also, my mouth felt clean and fresh for most of the day. I would definitely recommend it. Goodbye whitening strips!

Buy an electric toothbrush – Teeth should always be brushed in a gentle, circular motion. When some people brush their teeth, they opt for a scrubbing motion, which actually does more harm than good. If you struggle with the ‘‘massage-style’ technique that has been recommended by many dental experts, then buy an electric toothbrush. I’m currently using a Colgate 360 brush. It does all of the hard work for you and as a result, you get a much deeper clean. Of course, they cost a little more than normal toothbrushes but they are worth it.

Eat foods that whiten your teeth – There’s so many foods out there that stain the teeth, but there are also just as many foods that can whiten them. You won’t get the same effect you would if you were to whiten your teeth professionally, but they are cheap, natural and easily accessible. Strawberries, apples, banana peels and even baking soda are said to have teeth whitening properties. Before you invest in professional whitening kits, it’s worth trying a few natural remedies first.

What are your tips for keeping your teeth clean and healthy?

Great advice here. Our teeth are so so important and it’s easy to over look that.

I worry that I’ll outlive my teeth and have to have dentures *shudders*

    Thanks for sharing x

The biggest takeaway from The Polygamist so far is that if he’s left you before, he will leave you again. No comfort or peace can possibly be found with a man who has a pattern of leaving his family and going back to them. God’s strength to any woman with a Jonasi in their lives.

Watching #TheUltimatum and all I can say is that I’m ready for the French and South African versions to return. Like Love Is Blind, the U.S version has had its day.

It used to be Sana Jardin - Tiger By Her Side but the brand closed down. Not sure what’s going to be my go-to now. Currently wearing Nishane’s Thorns Become Roses, which is quite nice.
