Here Are Some Of The Health Benefits You Can Experience From Meditation

May. 10, 2020

In this post, Yuliya from Life Revamp will be talking about meditation. Meditation is all about mindfulness. It is a fantastic way to start the day and there are so many different kinds of meditations out there that someone can practice. In these unprecedented times, it’s no wonder that ‘benefits of meditation‘ and ‘what is meditation‘ are two of the most popular search terms on Google in relation to the topic. I’ve talked about my personal experiences with meditation in this post. I don’t always get it right but I stick at it. If you are thinking about meditating, then I recommend you do the same. Find what works for you and try to be consistent. Here’s Yuliya with six health benefits you can experience when you meditate:

The modern world is developing very quickly, nothing stands still in it, including us. Every day we are in a hurry to try and fulfil all of our plans on time. That is why we often forget how important proper rest is.

This rhythm of life often leads to exhaustion and chronic fatigue. When your physical and mental productivity decreases, you don’t know what to do with it.

However, there are several ways to prevent this. One of those is CBD and hemp, which can be consumed via gummies (visit the CFAH website for more information). In recent years, the public fascination with CBD has shown no signs of slowing down, and there is a lot of research out there to suggest that it can be useful for treating exhaustion-related issues. Some CBD products such as CBD oil can even be used to aid sleep and mental agility, while at the same time reducing inflammation, pain, and stress. Ultimately, if you are considering introducing any CBD products into your self-care routine, then it is important to carry out plenty of research first as there are some potential side effects of CBD oil that you need to be aware of.

Today I want to talk about a different way to prevent stress. As you may have guessed, this post is all about meditation, which has become very popular in recent years. I want to talk about why it is worthwhile to consider meditating on a regular basis:

Meditation is a step to understanding yourself

Ancient practitioners say that our brain possesses the answers to all the questions we have. It is during the process of meditation that these answers are obtained. When meditating, we noticeably improve our intuition and as a result, become more mindful. Also, having learned to feel more like ourselves again, we begin to understand the people around us much better.

Meditation improves your sense of focus

Meditation is based on focus: from a goal to a feeling, an abstract understanding or a dream. All you have to do is focus your attention on something concrete, and maintain concentration throughout the process. If you are just starting to meditate, start from 5-10 minutes a day, and gradually increase the time. Find your perfect way to meditate.

For example, it is easier for someone to meditate in nature, in a empty room in complete silence. Some people can even meditate in a noisy room. Do not be discouraged if your attention dissipates. Every time you lose concentration, just start over. The practice is your key to success. The more your train your focus in meditation, the easier it will be for you to focus on goals in real life.

Meditation relieves stress

When we meditate, our brain reduces the frequency of electrical impulses, which greatly affects our body. In a state of meditation, we achieve recovery of positive energy much faster, and also increase the level of stress resistance.

Meditation makes you happy

Meditation causes endorphin production and this has been scientifically proven. In the process of meditation, you forget about the past and leave all of your negative thoughts behind. Slowly, you’ll be able to allow more positive thoughts and affirmations into your mind. This is why a lot of people are in such a good mood after they meditate. If you are struggling to improve your mood, give meditation a try.

Meditation improves your memory

People who begin to meditate have a much easier time remembering what they have to do. Their cognitive functions improve and as a result of this, they are more productive. If you struggle with your productivity levels, meditation may be the answer.

Meditation reduces pain related ailments

A lot of people who meditate are likely to start with guided meditations first. With guided meditations, you are able to focus on different parts of the body. You observe what you find. You are able to see pain, tension, discomfort. Seeing your mind and body in action when meditating is pretty powerful. Meditating regularly can accelerate healing by reducing pain. You can find a lot of stories online where people have spoken about the power of meditation and how it helped to relief them of pain after suffering life changing injuries. Everybody is different and it will take time.

I think I need to start meditating now, my mind wanders a lot which sometimes causes some heartache. I think about the past on what could have been, what I could have done differently. It’s been really hard to let go so may be practicing meditation on a daily basis would really be helpful. Thank you for sharing. This post is so helpful

Hi Rayo, I would recommend meditating if you struggle to let things go. You may find though, that your mind wanders while you are meditating. That’s ok, just remind yourself to refocus and stay present. Start with a guided meditation first. With guided ones, the presenter will talk you through what it is you need to do in order to feel more relaxed or inspired. Also, KS is a safe space, so if you need someone to talk to, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Watching #TheUltimatum and all I can say is that I’m ready for the French and South African versions to return. Like Love Is Blind, the U.S version has had its day.

It used to be Sana Jardin - Tiger By Her Side but the brand closed down. Not sure what’s going to be my go-to now. Currently wearing Nishane’s Thorns Become Roses, which is quite nice.
