Here Are May’s Most Popular Posts On Kelle’s Space

May. 30, 2020

It’s almost a year since I reviewed some of the most popular posts on the blog, so I have decided that I’m going to start reviewing the most read posts on Kelle’s Space on a monthly basis. This will give you all the opportunity to catch up on any posts you may have missed over the past few weeks or even months. In terms of publishing content, my aim at the moment is to post twice a week: it may not always happen but I will do my best.

Before I begin, I have to say a huge thank you to all of my readers: whether you spend 5 minutes or 15 minutes on this site, you all matter. You make blogging worth doing on the days when I start to question myself. Thank you all for your support of Kelle’s Space. It hasn’t gone unnoticed.

In this post, I’m going to be sharing the most popular posts on the blog this month with you all:

Superdrug Vitamin C Review – Vitamin C is a skincare essential. If you haven’t thought about incorporating Vitamin C into your skincare routine, then I recommend you start. Superdrug’s Vitamin C range is quite popular. When it comes to skincare, value for money is important. I think we have all found ourselves in a position where a product that’s under a tenner does wonders for our skin. It’s just the way it is sometimes. So, when Superdrug launched their Vitamin C collection, I decided to give it a try. If you are into budget skincare, then you will find this review interesting.

The Talking Stage Of A Relationship Isn’t BS, It’s Necessary – When it comes to the talking stage, my belief is that if you are irritated by it, then you’re not doing it right. The talking stage of any dating situation is extremely important. Too many people jump into relationships without knowing the person who they are with, and then act surprised when things hit the fan. The talking stage will provide you with the knowledge and insight you need in order to determine whether there is potential for your relationship to progress. Be weary of anyone who wants to rush the talking stage. They may be trying to overcompensate for something they are lacking. Remember that anything worth having takes time.

Wants v Needs In A Relationship – This post was inspired by a video made by the influencer Breeny Lee. It made think about the difference between a ‘want’ and a ‘need’ in a relationship. A lot of the time, we tend to think about our wants when it comes to choosing a partner, but as Karen McCall rightly put it       ‘a need sustains you and a want entertains you’. As nice as it is to have a partner who is attractive, you shouldn’t shortchange yourself when it comes to your needs. I wrote this post to encourage you all to think about what you need in a relationship. Is it support, honesty, patience, generosity? What are the values and characteristics that you hold dear to your heart? Remind yourself of them when you date and even when you are in a relationship. You’ll be surprised at the number of people who are in relationships where their needs are not met and vice versa.

10 Things You Can Do To Reinvent Yourself After A Break Up – My first proper breakup was in 2012. It was about a month after I graduated from university. I remember crying almost every single night for a month. However, ending my engagement in 2016 (you can read more about this here) turned my world upside down. I was also dealing with some other issues during that time. It was the worst period of my 20’s without a doubt, and when I launched Kelle’s Space, I was determined to educate and empower women because it’s what we deserve. Anybody who undermines a woman is disrespecting themselves. The reason why we exist is because of a woman! In this collab, I share five tips that really helped me as I fought to rebuild my life and get back to being myself again. We live in a time where people are starting to understand how bad breakups can torment the soul. If you are going through a break up at the moment, don’t be afraid to acknowledge your feelings and do the work you need to do to heal.

How To Reinvent Yourself With Jenna’s Worldview – I wrote a guest post on Jenna’s blog about situationships and she decided to share some gems on the art of reinvention with KS readers. Reinvention is a much discussed theme at the moment because a lot of people want to come out of lockdown better than they were before. I think it’s important to remember that making the most out of this lockdown period is not a competition. There are people out there who are saving lives, caring for the vulnerable etc, so whenever I hear about glow up’s related to lockdown, it’s a little unsettling. This post encourages us all to take baby steps, If there are things you’d like to change about yourself, then that’s ok. Have a plan, don’t put any pressure on yourself and do celebrate your achievements (no matter how big or small they may be).

How To Stop Settling For Less Than You Deserve – Settling is never an option. Nothing eats at your joy like settling for less than you deserve in a relationship. In this post, I share some strategies on how to stop settling. People who settle usually have no idea what it is they want. Before you even think about dating anybody, you’ve got to think about what you need and you’ve got to be yourself. If you ever find yourself in a relationship with someone and you feel like you can’t be yourself, then that relationship is not for you. Another reason why settling is common among us millennials is a fear of not meeting someone. As someone who has been single for almost four years, trust me, I know all about the wondering if you’re ever going to meet someone one minute, and then loving your single status the next. Don’t put yourself in a position where you are ‘boyfriend filling’ or ‘girlfriend fluffing’ until the right person comes along. Trust God’s timing, trust the universe. It will happen for you.

I hope you’ve all enjoyed this little recap. I love hearing from you all, so feel free to let me know which of the posts above was your favourite xo

Hey Claire, I couldn’t agree more. It’s been great to see which posts have been popular and which ones could do with a bit more promo. Blogging is all trial and error at the end of the day. Thanks for passing by x

The biggest takeaway from The Polygamist so far is that if he’s left you before, he will leave you again. No comfort or peace can possibly be found with a man who has a pattern of leaving his family and going back to them. God’s strength to any woman with a Jonasi in their lives.

Watching #TheUltimatum and all I can say is that I’m ready for the French and South African versions to return. Like Love Is Blind, the U.S version has had its day.

It used to be Sana Jardin - Tiger By Her Side but the brand closed down. Not sure what’s going to be my go-to now. Currently wearing Nishane’s Thorns Become Roses, which is quite nice.
